Essential Functions Provides patient care directly or indirectly to all areas of surgical weight loss program Works with medical staff to support clinical care provided to surgical weight loss patients Screens patients to determine appropriateness for surgery Provides daily follow up to bariatric surgery patients based on provider's schedule Provides education to patient/families at initial consultation and pre op Post op phone calls Reviews OR schedule and ED and Inpatient record daily for SWL readmits/reops Communicates patient status to PCPs (following screening, progress to surgery, surgery details and follow up care) Reviews incoming medical records Monthly chart review Active participant in monthly information sessions Updates/maintains/configures presentations and reports as needed Mandatory attendance/takes minutes at bariatric committee meetings Reviews all re-op/re-admits/ER visits at MBS committee meetings Maintains MBSCR certification through annual exam (to serve as backup MBSCR) Responsible for annual QI project paperwork Familiar with Cerner and trainable to use of Frye SWL and ACS databases Good public speaking skills preferred Benefits - Wide range of benefits options!
