Technician, IT Site Support

Are you passionate about customer service and solving technology problems? We seek an IT Site Support Technician in our Catawba, NC facility.
This isn't a role where you sit at a desk; you will perform a variety of activities related to the setup or technical support of employee computers, servers, and peripherals that fall within defined guidelines and advance more sophisticated problems to the next tier of technical support team and/or outside vendors.
You'll work with employees in a variety of settings which may include providing phone or email support, remote access to computers, as well as providing desk-side support.
You'll be responsible for general oversight of all IT hardware in the Catawba, Claremont, and Pineville facilities.
How You'll Help Us Connect The World Provide hands-on technical support for acquiring, using, and installing company-provided desktop and portable workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices as well as company standard operating systems and software.
Track service requests in an internal help ticket tracking system and follow up, ensuring effective resolution and customer happiness.
Coordinate referrals for more complete issues to the next support tier and/or external resources.
Support the installation, troubleshooting, and usage of wired and wireless networks per CommScope standards.
This includes identifying user requirements, monitoring LAN performance, and performing network security management.
Support the installation, troubleshooting, and usage of communication systems.
Typical communication systems include video and voice conferencing and mobile phone service support.
Collaborate with team(s) on projects supporting IT initiatives and/or implementations.
Provide IT technical support to users at multiple sites such as business offices, engineering labs, and manufacturing.
You'll be traveling to other local sites as needed Required Qualifications for Consideration High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of two years of relevant hands-on IT experience OR completed an associate degree with a minimum of 1 year of relevant hands-on experience.
Familiar with standard IT concepts, practices, and procedures Ability to walk, climb (stairs/ladders), sit and/or stand for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Ability to travel within the assigned region with potential for travel outside the assigned region.
You Will Excite Us if You Have A
or +Network Certification In-depth knowledge of hardware and software, including Windows 10 Knowledge of cabling and MDF and IDF hardware Proven ability to give outstanding customer service.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently.
