Commscope is hiring a Product Specialist in Catawba, NC The Product Specialist (PS) supports the management and performance of a product or products group related to the FTTX drop network segment, over its projected lifecycle.
He/she is jointly responsible for the (technical) definition, the application and related system and minor engineering change project management.
This role is responsible for supporting pricing, product extensions, adjacent products, but also portfolio rationalisation and end of product life decisions and execution.
Specialist determines what information is needed and conducts research analysis and market/application research to define new product requirements.
The PS analyzes sales and other financial data to derive information necessary to influence / support managerial decisions concerning market opportunities, product modification, and new product development and proposes recommendations as appropriate.
As PS you influence and support the formulation of product strategies, plans and policies.
you also aid in establishing the position of assigned product(s) in the market by understanding the position of major competitive offerings.
You also provides detailed product descriptions for projects selected, and ensures that all requirements are clearly understood by management and development teams.
A PS supports the product manager with product lifecycle management, including rationalisation and new product introduction, with fielding sales calls, assisting customer support representatives.
He/she may assist and in some situations be responsible for inventory and shipping processes and coordination, quotes, bid preparation, product loads and cost inquiries.
Furthermore He/she assists with the development, implementation, and coordination of strategic market plans for the assigned product line and assists in achieving product line strategies set by product manager in each assigned market.
In that regard the PS works with the product manger in the development of the strategies Finally he/she support sales and marketing presentations and demonstrations where additional technical expertise is required on specific products, applications or assigned markets.
Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university in Engineering, Sciences or Business or a related field Minimum of 5 years experience Analytical and problem solving skills, and ability to articulate complex concepts to a broad range of internal and external audiences; Ability to effectively communicate with several types and levels of staff and external contacts, both in writing and verbally Ability to work simultaneously on many priorities, which change frequently, Assertive, persuasive and creative problem-solving skills Excel skills for datamining purposes Desired/Nice to have Qualifications: SAP knowledge is a plus Spanish as an additional language preferred It is the policy of CommScope to provide Equal Employment Opportunities to all individuals based on merit, qualifications and abilities.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
